About the Conference Theme
Collaboration in higher education encompasses multiple forms of joint intellectual effort by students and instructors working together towards a shared goal. This year's conference showcases a range of collaborative teaching and learning activities, practices and tools from across the undergraduate and graduate curricula at the University of Guelph.
To model the collaborative theme, this year's conference is jointly sponsored by the College of Arts and the College of Physical and Engineering Science.
A plenary address begins the day, followed by individual and team-presented showcases and workshops. Sessions focus on how collaborative teaching and learning activities help instructors, co-instructors and students achieve desired learning outcomes in their courses. Three conference streams provide a framework for the day's presentations.
