Learning (PBL): An Introduction
The December 1998 issue of The
National Teaching and Learning FORUM is dedicated to problem-based
learning. The lead articles looks at how PBL is different from other instructional
approaches, offers a list of PBL resources, and provides vignettes of
five faculty who are new to using PBL in their classrooms.

an online PBL tutorial (8 pages) covering the following sections: What

The University of Delaware hosts a website for faculty and teaching staff
interested in the problem-based teaching method. PBL articles, sample
PBL problems, and links to other PBL websites are provided.
PBL
Insight (PDF file) is a newsletter dedicated solely to problem-based
learning. Its goal is to present practices, ideas, and research from a
variety of perspectives. The inaugral edition of this newsletter is available
online and provides informative articles, resources, and instructions
to join a variety of PBL listservs.

This site provides an introduction to problem-based learning (what? and
why?) along with a case study about the trials and tribulations of a fictional
anthropology professor's attempts to alert faculty who are interested
in trying the method to some of the unexpected challenges they might encounter.
