The University of Maryland offers two resources to support faculty who teach large classes - a newsletter (specfically on teaching large classes) and a handbook. Both provide a variety of ideas and tips to teach large classes actively and effectively.

Karen Kelsky, a professor of anthropology, shares her experience of teaching a large classs (350 students) for the first time, and the efforts she made to maintain a sense of connectedness found with her regular-sized classes (with classes of 30 or 40 students).
