- the role of academic
departments in changing the curriculum and usage of technology;
- the role of technology
in the individualization or standardization of teaching and learning;
- possible explanations
for (and responses to) the decline in student purchase of assigned textbooks;
- faculty uses of "course
packs" in conjunction with textbooks and new applications of information
technology; and
- current or future activities
and publications of special interest to local Teaching, Learning, and Technology
Roundtables.
Participants include over
7,000 subscribers composed of faculty members, academic computing support
staff, librarians, administrators, faculty development personnel, graduate
students, publishers, and representatives of other industries.

PTR, the post-tenure review list.
At a number of of American
universities faculty are being asked to develop or conform to new sorts
of evaluation. Usually but not always these focus on teaching: sometimes
they include teaching, service, and research. It seems appropriate that
faculty should have a neutral clearing-house of information on this topic.

The Forum now has over
