| Handbook
on UID
The UID Implementation Guide features the “7
Principles” poster and offers practical guidelines
one can follow when designing or adapting a course with
consideration of these principles. The instructional approach
for this material is "constructivist" in that
it provides a conceptual framework, concrete examples and
a suggested structure for the reader's own reflection and
implementation
Workbooks
for Various Delivery Methods
The Guelph-Humber project resulted in the creation of two
workbooks-Universal
Instructional Design (UID): A Faculty Workbook and
Universal Instructional Design (UID): A Workbook for
Faculty Teaching at a Distance
These workbooks mirror course development and delivery processes
for face-to-face and distance courses, respectively and
are intended to respond to the needs of course developers
and faculty, who are developing new courses or are engaged
in the substantial re-development of existing courses.
