PowerPoint ShortcutsTo Show Your Slides Out of Order During a PresentationIf you are doing your presentation and need to open a slide out of order, just type the slide number and press ENTER. It’s a good idea to print out a copy of your presentation to use as reference. To Write on a Slide During a Presentation Have your presentation open in the Slide Show view All annotation pen markings are cleared when you leave the slide. To Access the Slide MasterClick on the SLIDE VIEW Icon while depressing the Shift key. To Prioritize an objectRight click on the object and select the required command under Order. To Change from Caps to Lower Case (or Vice Versa)If you have text showing in the wrong case, select the text, and then click Shift+F3 until you get to the case style that you want. Clicking Shift+F3 toggles the text case between All CAPS, lower case, and Initial Capital styles. To Ungroup a Grouped objectRight click on the grouped object and select the Un-group command …... this will only ungroup clipart or simple drawings. To Select More than one Object at a timeSelect the first object, then while depressing the Shift key click on the other objects that you wish to select. To Select Small ObjectsHit the ESCAPE key to insure that nothing is currently selected, then repeatedly hit the tab key to cycle through the selection of allthe objects on the slide. This is useful for selecting very small objects, or objects that are covered up by other larger objects. To Draw a line that is Perfectly Horizontal or Vertical…A Perfect Square…A Perfect CircleDepress the Shift key while dragging the symbol to create your line, square or circle. uncheck “auto To Create a Soft ShadowYou can create “soft shadows” for square of round objects that sit on a coloured background. Make a copy of the object, then change its fill be to shaded from black to the background colour, with shading set with black going from the center out to the back of the object to the background colour at the edges. Make this object 150% larger than the original object and put it behind your original object. This will give you the effect of a “soft” shadow. This can only be applied to objects drawn yourself. |
