Publication interval: quarterly New Directions for Teaching and LearningPublished by Jossey Bass, New Directions for Teaching and Learning offers a comprehensive range of ideas and techniques for improving college teaching based on the experience of seasoned instructors and on the latest findings of educational and psychological researchers. Publication interval: quarterly The Canadian Journal of Higher EducationA publication of the Canadian Society for the Study of Higher Education (CSSHE), this journal serves as a medium of communication among persons directly involved in higher education in Canada, or deeply interested in the field. The principle focus is on Canadian higher education, but not to the exclusion of develpments in other countries which are of concern to the Canadian scene. Publication interval: 2-3 times a year
The Teaching ProfessorPublished by Magna Publications, this newsletter covers a broad range of teaching and learning topics, providing innovative strategies, techniques, and approaches to facilitate learning and reflective analysis of educational issues of concern. Publication interval: monthly (except July and September) * TSS has a complete set of The Teaching Professor as well as extra copies of back issues that are available to the University community on a first come first serve basis.
Change: The Magazine of Higher LearningChange is published by the Helen Dwight Reid Educational Foundation. It spotlights trends in, provides new insights about, and analyzes the implications of educational programs. Articles cover influential institutions and individuals, new teaching methods, curriculum, finances, governance, and public policy. Publication interval: bi-monthly (6 issues per year) The Journal of Graduate Teaching Assistant DevelopmentPublished by New Forums Press, the aim of this publication is to highlight those aspects of the teaching assistantship which prepare graduate students for the multiple roles they play as assistants as well as for the multiple roles they will play as professionals upon leaving school. AAHE BulletinA publication of the American Association for Higher Education (AAHE), this monthly newsletter offers interviews, special reports and articles, and practical how-to articles. It is also an important source of news about AAHE activities. Publication Internval: 10 times per year
University AffairsA publication of the Association of Universities and Colleges in Canada (AUCC), University Affairs is "Canada's premier higher education newsmagazine providing a balanced and informative look at the latest trends and issues shaping our campuses...It takes you inside university classrooms and laboratories, and brings you the latest in research and teaching. Covering the university scene in Canada for more than 35 years, University Affairs is the country's largest source of advertising aimed at the academic community" (publisher description). Publication Interval: 10 times per year The International Journal for Academic DevelopmentA publication of the International Consortium for Educational Development (ICED). The International Journal for Academic Development was established to promote educational or academic development in higher education worldwide. ICED is a network whose members are themselves national organizations or networks concerned with promoting good practice in higher education. Publication interval: twice yearly (May and November)
